Melting, Melted
I see cars running,
the foul exhaust
escaping.
Waves of heat
transferring
from object to object.
Puffs of
gray smoke
rise
from buildings
blending with the sky's
veil of white.
Ice
from solid
to liquid.
The world
melting
around the globe
before our eyes
slipping off in patches,
falling.
From 80
to 120 degrees
Mercury,
Rising and rising.
Pressure buildup.
Red bursts
while
Blue melts.
