My Reasons for Writing

I write because words are powerful and life altering. With a certain use of words, inspiration can spark from them, and thought- evoking questions and thoughts will arise and linger.
I write because there are too many closed- minds in this world, and it is my dream to open those minds. I also write for myself, for self- expression.
I want my poems to wash over people and make them feel something because it held a personal meaning to them. And I hope that when days are bland, that my poems, my words can brighten them.
