Shadows
Underneath
Moon
plunders
sun's light
casting
a gray
glare
slowly drifting
across solitary
pavements
coursing upon
the lost.
Skittish
as they stumble
away from
the shadows,
spooked
by the
lazy mist
enshrouding the moon.
Twisted
laughter
fills
distant air,
wailing
screams
penetrate
stillness,
dripping
tears
stroke
uneven grounds.
Wind
endeavors
to ensconce
calamity
but mingles
instead
with shadows
underneath.
